The Last Campfire is a quite interesting puzzle-solving game developed by Hello Games. You take the role of Ember whose task is to solve various environmental puzzles to make your way through the last campfire and light it all up and when you do it, you will be able to rescue lost souls who have lost their purpose and as you save all the lost souls in your area, new areas will be unlocked but it will be even more difficult and new challenges will appear.
in each area, there will be a campfire with a ghost who will guide you and correct your path to reach all the forlorns and as you reach them a touch will transport you to their last known memory and then the actual story will begin as you will enter in a new unknown world where you will face a lot of challenges but your goal is to survive and reach the last campfire.
as you complete the tasks and missions, you will gain magical flukes, new powers and abilities that help you overcome the challenges and complete difficult tasks. You can use these magical flukes to move things in order to solve the puzzles. The game is very beautifully narrated and the storyline is also quite meaningful. It feels like watching a movie and being the main character of the film.
The game provides an expansive open-world experience, featuring a diverse array of adversaries and non-playable characters. Engaging with these elements allows players to further immerse themselves in the storyline. Upon the completion of the challenges, you will free the ember to return to the last campfire in the area and then a new area will be unlocked with unique challenges and tasks.
Once you complete the mission, you can talk to the ghost to progress and move toward your next challenge.
